Albion, MI

We departed our hotel to crisp, cool, great lakes summer weather and headed towards our destination for the day in Albion, MI.  We peddled on rural roads through forests and agriculture...
We stopped at a historic school house
Where a dashing rider posed smugly for a patriotic photo
We road into Brooklyn and passed the Michigan International Speedway where we tried to get on the track but it was locked
We stopped at Marco's for ham and cheese subs
And passed a few lakes after lunch

It was a beautiful ride into Albion which is a cool little town with brick streets and vintage window dressings
And advertising....we agree that CocaCola relieves fatigue!

We ate at the local brew pub famous for their hamburgers
and enjoyed some sodas from Grand Rapids
Henry is clearly excited to be sitting and ready to re-fuel.  Given his compromised mental state I tried to trick him into paying for diner this time but, once again, he stuck me with the bill.

Good thing Henry is a fantastic traveling companion!

We did see a couple new birds the past few days (photos clearly poached from the internet)...

Sandhill Crane with juvenile
Red-headed Woodpecker
Warbling Vireo
And the stats...
