Lake Erie, WestSide

A perfect start to a perfect day.  The Worthy's et al pampered us our entire stay and whipped up a fantastic breakfast of eggs, sausage, fruit salad, fresh watermelon, toast, and blue berry muffins!  AMAZING!!!
Frankie, JW, and Skippy helped me load up my bike with extra water and tools...
that pipe wrench will really come in handy as I  am always tinkering with my bike!
With so much stuff we considered getting some trailers
We waved fair well to our friends
And headed due West along the shores of Lake Erie
We stopped for our first break in Painesville where we enjoyed the cool morning in the central park watching squirrels and locals and eating candy

As we continued to head West, we were hailed by homeowner Bob who was excited about our trip...he yelled "hey, are you riding the Northern Tier"? We pulled over and he asked if there was anything we needed and gave us a detailed description of our immediate ride ahead through Cleveland
Just like Bob said, our ride into Cleveland was fantastic and on of the highlights of trip...it was clear we were no longer in Pennsylvania.  The route was mostly protected
With some stunning properties along the Lake as we headed through Bratenahl...the gates and walls make them tough to see
Once we got near downtown
we passed the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
And joined our new friend Steve for lunch at the Nobel Beast Brewery downtown
We crushed some sandwiches
Pounded some cokes
And Steve had a corn dog
Continuing Westward, we made our way to Lorain
Where we are are staying at the historical Ariel Broadway Hotel

Lorain may have peaked about a century ago but has tons of potential and lots of available properties right on main street
And everything was perfectly vintage
Maybe Lorain is where we open the bike shop?

We are chugging along with about 6 hrs of riding over the course of each day
Shower, eat, sleep

Be well.  Until next time.
