Potomac

We have covered some ground in three days and woke up to descend into the Potomac River valley.
We took an early break under a big old Oak tree
And made our way to the C&O canal...
Now I really do LOVE the National Park Service but the bike access to one of the longest bike paths could use an update!
Stairs? Really??

Once we re-packed we made sure we were going the correct direction and headed towards Hancock, MD
One of us was bored to tears riding through the green tunnel where the mile signs never seem to advance fast enough
So we called on help from our speaker and four friends to carry us along with Fluffhead, Bathtub Gin, Tweezer and Antelope
We treated ourselves to accomodations at the Riverrun B &B
After treating our sore butts most of the day
We had our best meal yet at Buddy Lou's
Where, coincidentally, we dinned eight years ago on our first bike adventure...Henry is much taller now
