Silver Lake

We had an early Oops to the day as I made coffee with the grape flavored electrolyte water.  I thought I may have been onto something new with electrolyte infused coffee but the grape flavor just did not work.  I drank half of it but then, reluctantly as it was Little Goat coffee, I dumped it out and made a fresh cup.  Here we are drinking grape flavored coffee...
As we were enjoying the morning we noticed Henry's cool sock tan line...
And as it was a sunny morning, we were both wearing our stylish sun hats...
When we returned to pack up camp and get on the road...
We noticed the Why R+ rear tire was flat.  So we pulled out the multi-tool and went to work....
That is our neighbors tent behind me...they provided a random act of kindness when we arrived and gave use cold water and a bunch of apple cinnamon breakfast bars.  They did not sleep there so we think they just use the tent as a beach house and go home to Muskegon to sleep.

We got the bike back together and loaded up to head North along the Lake to Silver Lake State Park...
We were stunned by the cycling infrastructure western Michigan has to offer and have been cruising on bike trails and protected bike lanes since we came into Kalamazoo.  We passed along lake shores....
Road through beautiful forests...
And bike friendly towns...
We passed many great works of art...
And an active, potentially haunted, roller coaster that made us think about Scooby Doo....
We took advantage of the 9:30 sunset and rolled into Silver Lake State Park just in time to set-up camp...
We caught the sunset over Silver Lake with a massive dune system occurs between lakes Michigan and Silver Lake...
And we were invited to today's neighbors campsite for some conversation and s'mores...
Western Michigan is pretty sweet.
