South Haven, MI

Easiest day of the trip so far as we cruised downhill from Kalamazoo to just outside South Haven on the Kal-Haven Trail
It was a lovely green tunnel that allowed us to listen to some tunes while we road...
We figured that if we average 12.2 mph and the average Phish set is 1.5 hours long, then we need approximately 18.3 miles of rail trail to fully listen to one Phish set.  Today we had 30+ miles of trail so I was able to listen to the 30+ minute
And the second set of from Deer Creek, IN 4 June 2022...
Very nice!   Henry was listening to Ice Cube.

We passed  many informative signs and took pictures of this one about Lake effect snow...that I remember from growing up on Lake Erie!

And this other one..
And even a caboose because this used to be a railroad...
We had a short day because it turns out we were not the only ones heading to the shores of Lake Michigan on a Saturday and finding a place to land was a challenge.
We were, however, fortunate enough to rent 400 sq feet of space at the Jellystone Resort
Where we setup camp and grabbed a bite at the Cartoon Cafe
Charged our devices
And spun our kits at the Suds Station
We passed on the monster soap machine
But we thought it would be fun to have at Gettysburg this fall.

We measured Henry because he is so tall and reminds me more than a couple times a day.  It looks he is 5' 10" breaking a Shriver record!
We were also able to take pictures of families we have not met yet in front of Yogi Bear...
Pretty nice spot all and all!

The stats...
