Neillsville, WI

Our twentieth ride since June 10th had us riding through Stevens Point, WI and then heading due West towards Neillsville.
We crossed the Wisconsin River as we left Stevens Point...
and took the shortest distance between two points....yes, a straight line, all the way to Neillsville.  The road went on....
and on...
And on...
and on...
and on...
and on...
We did have a left curve, then a right curve, and a left turn, you can find it on the map below, as we entered the only town along our 60 mile route; Arpin, WI.  We hit one of the two watering holes for some awkward interactions between Lycra cyclists, ATVers, and bikers (the Harley kind) and sucked down two cokes and bad hamburgers, we were kinda tired and sad...those are dollar bills they fling onto the ceiling with a thumbtack (to keep it there) and a quarter (to get it there)...
We have officially found rural Wisconsin which has some great wildlife habitat...
Full of Sedge Wrens!

Some weather rolled in as we were leaving Arpin so we broke out our jackets...
And got back on the road/line...
Where came across this rural art piece and thought they were wishing us a happy independence day!
We settled into Neillsville...
and wondered what this was all about...
A nice end to a day on a line in rural Wisconsin!
